IF: LOST

people and things I have lost.

My first thought with the prompt was quite somber, thinking about the feeling of lost.
But as the weekend came and went, my idea evolved.

Trivial items came to mind and significant losses of people I have loved.
The illustration includes both with items representing all of those people and things I have lost.

I am looking forward to seeing how others dealt with this topic, I have not yet visited any IF blogs.

  1. What a great idea! I love the personal interpretation of the theme... it almost looks like a suitcase of memories.

    1. Thank you Richard, as it progressed the suitcase notion actually occurred to me, I like that.

  2. I really do like this piece, not only the aesthetics, but also the color scheme and the slightly different take on "lost". You should check out the blogs, a lot of people put in some great work. I really love what you've done with yours... how did you color it in, if you don't mind my asking? I'm following your blog now, looking forward to more work from you :)

    1. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. You asked about the process. I used various design markers, liquid ink, pen, and acrylic paint. (when I am short on time I tend to grab whatever is easily in reach) I am starting to make my way around others work,(busy week!) I will look forward to seeing your work. Thanks so much for the follow!

  3. Wow! What a great collection of objects! So much cool detail and contrast. I love the text too, and how some things are just things and others represent something bigger. Really cool!

  4. I like this. It's like a visual diary! And I love the gestures in the paint and coloring; the objects seem to come to life.
